faith

“faith”

a subtle walk
in gentle feet
with soft hands

and cascading breeze
embracing my seconds
and torn breath

it falls away
into reverent embrace
and humble kiss

it’s not about knowns
it’s about ‘knowing’
and this takes us through unknowns

we can’t seek balance, rather
it’s harmony in self

harmony gives us the capability
to cope with the imbalances
that’s always around

water on water touching water

if only found

I find hearts everywhere
maybe they find me?

I’m honoring life that sits around me
flooding me with love, and notice

For the next year I’m challenging myself to capture a heart a day.  The series is called “Love Train” and it’s dedicated to my friends that have stood by me during some very hard times.  Not once in judgment, rather continuously holding up a light, and reminding me how I shine.  Humility is a gorgeous thing….

not enough

we try
we do
we cleanse
not enough

we remember
we forgive
we allow
not enough

we take
we tear
we bleed
not enough

we remember
we forgive
we allow
not enough

I break
I shatter
I am dust
not enough

my dust bows
my pieces mend
still not enough
and I stay

seconds

Softly spoken you say, “I will travel
for a time…will you miss me?”

“Yes. In the days coming
I will miss you.
Then in my hours
when I find you gone,
I will give to the seconds
let them find you,
and merge with the rain
that will find your skin
and wash you, love.
I’ll ask the sun
to shine on your smile.
Know my arms as the wind.”

There are moments within
moments, hidden in a second,
that holds more than we know,
and Time’s flame reaches eternity.

In here is the whisper,
all held in Second’s breath,
let it cover whole, and
touch you into everything.

catch me as I pass by

I’m the notes in a song
on stage pulsing along
through strings, keys and skin

pass me on and on

let me fall off lips
to touching hips
in between toes
shaking your bones

lose me in fingertips kissing

I’m the notes in a song
getting lost all night long
in island night heat

exhilarated and wet

the salt from the sea
sticking to me
dripping through my hair
stripping me bare

I’m the notes in that night song

noticing

i’m looking at the seconds
after “I love you” is spoken
to tell me everything
as now I’m able to see

a walk with sweet intent
the touch with all fingertips
and soft lips with cascading words

i’m taking this with me
as the year turns into new
and my skin eases
from tensions over carried

there is a gentleness around me
hugging my feet and lingering
between my black lashes

i’m smiling into this moment
i’ve noticed that the smallest of things
fill all things, and gratitude
gives me a divine residence

It is morning,
“I don’t want to leave
the spell will be broken.”

I cup your face, and smile
“You cannot break what is
we wrote this, before, together.”

Your smile weary, I say,
“come and rest in my bed
when I come back
I will lay next to you
skin on skin, and
we will sleep together
our days and nights mix.
We’ve found what has never left us.
Where do you think a love like this goes?”

The hidden in your eyes fade,
even for a moment, it is enough.

Snow falls on Grace

There are two trees
joined at the hip, I noticed.
Glad to release that thought
and change my glimpse to a gaze.

I think the snow is fluttering
in witness, and blanketing
in gentle grace, framing
their long limbs for me.

I stop and look at the campus.
it seems fitting that nestled in
a merging of ideas, hope and yearning
these two choose here to wait.

I should learn about trees
and know their names.
We carry such desires in our calling,
wanting it whispered just so.snowflakes_macro_04
